GRAF

It is horribly grey outside, and we don’t have enough light hours in the day to get everything done before the darkness takes over yet again. So I was happy, when my friend Mas Emil Nielsen sent me some of his latest stuff from GRAF. I find their music so calming, and a tiny bit disturbing. Minimalistic and yet so full – which is exactly why I enjoy it so much.

GRAF will soon release their new album “orbit #1″, which is based on a joint effort between Mads Emil Nielsen and Simon Walsøe.

The album is released the 18. November and it will be celebrated with a release-party (of course) on the same date at Mayhem, Ragnhildgade 1, København N. GRAF will play, featuring VJ’s Julian Grenaae and André Chercka , and My Grönholdt will dance. Free entry from 8.30 pm.

Yes, and Julian Grenaae created the beautiful videos.

Young energy to “Æ West Jylland”

We have just traveled all the way to Hvide Sande to be a part of “Art Hvide Sande“, which has existed for five years. This year everything has changed with a new name, a new curator, new artists together with a very new and different style, than what the local people are use to here in “æ West Jylland”. In the last years local artists have shown their work, which usually is inspired by the society here and the very rough nature. But this time the art is “någet kjøvenhavneri”, with video/audio installations, graphic art, conceptual art, photography, and design objects - mostly done by people born after 1980. The lovely young people who are also exhibiting are Mads Emil Nielsen, Fryd Frydendahl, Simon Øster Fensholm, Jennie Olofsson, Karla Marie Bentzen, Helene Søs Schjødts, Stinne Bo and Thilde Louise Dalager.

But we are happy to be here and the visitors seems to like what we have done with the place. The location is a lock between the southern and northern part of Hvide Sande – and it is one very long hallway, and a very different place to hang one’s works of art.

HINT HUNT HORSENS

Well, we live in a quite small city south of Aarhus. Here we don’t have nearly as much street-art as in Copenhagen or Aarhus. Sometimes a tag or stencil shows up – but really the streets here are VERY grey and clean. So when we were asked to be a part of the project “Hint Hike Horsens“, we were thrilled. Finally we had the opportunity to give the streets some life.

“Hint Hike Horsens” is basically a treasure-hunt in the center of Horsens, where all the clues are some kind of streetart. – Coordinated by Rumkammerat. Two local artist were asked to be a part of the project: Jamie Linley and our very own Phuc Van Dang. The hunt (or hike) starts this friday.

We were signed to create a piece on a wall in Borgergade, – just next to the pedestrian street. When we came to the spot, we saw the most dreary gray wall filled with tags and pee. We gave it a go, with lots and lots of white paint, black lines and fabels.

PHUCISME Pop Up Shop

The museum boutique have been attacked by “Streetbirds” and been filled with our entire collection together with new one-of-a-kind designs by Phuc Van Dang. We unite is a new initiative from the Artrebels crew. It is a platform where young female entrepreneurs share stories – and learn from those who have had success and encourage those who are about to take the big jump.

Can you find them?

In the small cracks and on the corners of wonderfull copenhagen, street birds on blue plates are lost (or hiding), and we wonder if you can find them.
