FINE BONE CHINA
Fine Bone China is a material, we have completely fallen in love with, due to its bright white color and its enduring qualities. And it is a perfect contrast to a graphic print. And practical too! You can even put it in the dishwasher.
All PHUCISME fine bone products are handmade from a producer in the Philippines, where the old traditions and craftsmanship are the paramount.

BUFFALO HORN
We wanted to use something light and soft, yet something with a graphic touch for our jewelry collection. And we came across buffalo horn, which we shaped into rings, necklaces, and bracelets. The beautiful thing about this material is the perfect mixture between softness and strength. The ring will keep the geometrical shape, but it will still shape after your finger. But notice, because of the softness of the horn, the products can get some scratches after use. So here is a great tip: Polish the product with toothpaste, and it will shine as it was new again.
All PHUCISME buffalo horn products are handmade from a small family business in Northern Vietnam. And they have worked with buffalo horn in generations. During the production the horn is filed and bended based on the design. Then polished many times with different sandpapers.
All the buffalo horn products are one-of-a-kind and can differ in sizes, due to the differences in the raw material.

WOOD
We have chosen some darker woods to use in our collections, because we love the contest between the wood and the white china.
One of them is Black Ebony thee, which is characterized by a very high density, fine light texture and the ability to polish it very smoothly. It is the darkest tree, one can find – and yet you can still see the texture. And we love love love black, so we have used the material for the salt cups and the salad set, to add an graphic dimension to every dinner-table. The tree comes from a plantation, so no natural forest are damaged. And are shaped by a small Vietnamese company.
The newest addition to the PHUCISME collection are our tops and boxes, made of the very strong Sonokeling wood, which is in the Rose Wood family. It is traditionally used for furniture and cabinetry. It is dark brown, with very clear grains. The craftsmanship is truly on the highest level and the products are made in Indonesia.
All our wood products are made with love, and deserves to be treated with love. So do not use a dishwasher.
